Whatever your reasons for reaching out, making the decision to start or restart therapy is a courageous one. Having a safe place to contain the process of self discovery and growth is important and the fit with your therapist is paramount.
My goal is to help clients access parts of themselves that have been hidden, parts they want to understand better, or parts that you simply want to change to help gain a fuller understanding of themselves and the world they live in. This is a collaborative effort that we share together as we clarify goals, dreams, and aspirations of emotional and mental growth.
Individual counseling is unique to each client as we will address your specific needs and create a space where you can accomplish your mental health goals surrounded by safety and warmth.
My work is rooted in multiple theories and disciples, including but not limited to- narrative work, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioural interventions and emotion-focused perspectives. I commonly work with:
